Last week one of our community sisters gave me advice that has really stuck with me. I asked her: how do we know/decide to do something and put ourselves out there when we are not feeling great? Her advice which works for her and which I am now using for myself:
I ask myself:
What are I taking away from myself by not doing this? What value/impact am I taking away by not doing this? Am I taking away possible safe connection with others/joy/fun/feeling fulfilled by helping others?
Am I engaging in self sabotage behaviour by not doing this?
