Sister Outsider
I have just finished listening to Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde. A book also recommended to us in our anti-racist workshops. 40 years on and each word in this book is still as relevant as the day it was written. It broke and angers my heart that little progress has been done to break down racial systems or change racist behaviours. I urge every white sister in our community to actively educate themselves and adapt your outlook on life. It is the very least we can do with our privledge. The horrors we are seeing in Palestine, DRC, Sudan are not ok. Our BIPOC sisters, brothers and children all over the world deserve better from us. If you have not already, I can strongly also recommend this book. May love be with you all! 🫂
