What topics/community events would you like us to organise next year?

Much of it doesn't have to be community organised so I encourage you to please post in our forum to connect with others that are interested in the same topics. I also need some more details to some of your answers please. So please see below for responses to all our answers to this question from our survey:
Art fundraiser
What a great idea! After the success of the one we had last year it's definitely worth repeating. Who would like to volunteer to organise and manage this?
Stabilizing workshops
Our Somatic Experiencing talks from Lia (SE therapist and community advisor offer so many exercises for stabilisation. We will be repeating the talks this year so please attend.
Personal finances and budgeting
This is on our list for this year but we are having trouble finding experts for this topic. Can anyone help to find the best experts for this topic?

Yes yes yes! And you don’t have to wait for a community organised social. Let’s grab coffee before or after an event. Or feel free to post in our forum. Or if you want to organise something just write me and I can announce to the community by email as well.

style and make up, career coaching
Unfortunately our funding does not allow for events that are only for personal benefit. If you had another career focused topic in mind, please let me know. Colleen also posted about a career goals workshop in the forum. Style and make up workshop is coming up again this year! This one is a for personal benefit and it also is something that has immense value from doing it together as group. We lift each other up, we nurture our bonds and have great fun together.

Trauma acupuncture
Unfortunately our funding does not allow for events that are only for personal benefit. Sorry.
I would love it, if we could meet socially in the city for a coffee, tea, dinner or do a playful activity together, like bowling or trampoline etc. If the weather is nice, a picnic at the isar, playing volley or frisbee, something like that. I usually avoid social gatherings with friends, because in some weird way i do not feel safe. But i do feel safe when i am with you. I think this kind of experiences would expose me slowly to having fun and being safe in the "real" world.
Or anything that has to do with playfulness, as we discussed in the somatic therapy.
Yes yes yes! Even a fun time in a playground would be great. Please post in our forum for any activity or get together and I’ll make sure everyone in the community sees it and can join.
Art therapy sessions are amazing
Yes they are. The last one we had together was powerful!
More outdoor events, nature Walks or easy hikes. One idea I had was to make a trip to the bergtierpark or Wildpark to have a day to be in nature and around animals, but I don’t know that that falls into the categories of what we can fund.
I would also love to learn more somatic exercises and techniques to help heal trauma.
We are able to cover the transport costs so this shouldn’t be an obstacle. Love the idea of spending more time in nature. Please post in the nature walks group.
We will repeating the Somatic Experiencing talks this year. We learnt so many incredible exercises. So it deserves a repeat!

I miss the trauma sensitive Yoga a lot, and still vote for the "Tiergestützte Therapie" with horses ;) - also I noticed in times of my long sinusitis episodes I would have loved to have some online events where you could still stay connected when you are unable to physically attend anything as this is when I need the support the most
More yoga coming this year. What type of online events would you like to have? Unfortunately our funding does not allow for events that are only for personal benefit. We checked about the horse-riding therapy and they said it wouldn’t be possible. Sorry.

Yoga classes or some fitness classes
Definitely a yes for yoga. But unfortunately fitness cannot be covered by our community funding (SHZ rules don’t allow funding for events only for personal benefit)

Dealing with Trauma Workshops
All the topics are discussed in our support group meetings. And can also be asked in any of our workshops with our external experts. Dance would be great to have again. Can you please clarify what you mean by “dealing with trauma?” - which specific aspect?
Styling/makeup, art therapy, hiking, writing/poetry
All in planning except writing/poetry. Can you please post in our forum to see who would be interested in this? I know we have a few writers and poets in our community.

Maybe something like the dance workshop but more “supported”. Something playful that would allow us to get rid of bad energy together. Like dancing, singing. Why not laughing workshop?
