About the event
Some of us have always lived between worlds.
Between languages. Between families. Between the version of ourselves that feels safe to show - and the one that is fully, wholly, us.
For our sisters who hold more than one racial or cultural identity, that navigation is constant. It can be quietly exhausting. And it is rarely spoken about with the honesty it deserves.
This gathering is for that.
Our beloved anti-racism educator Dana has offered something rare and generous - a space shaped entirely around us. Around the specific questions we carry, the experiences we’ve struggled to name, the things we’ve wished someone would just say out loud.
We’ll explore the real experiences of living between racial and cultural identities -belonging, colourism, family dynamics, and the quiet exhaustion of being seen in some spaces and invisible in others. Including the things that have been hard to name.
